Transportation Information

DROP-OFF PROCEDURES

Supervision will be starting at 7:10. If anyone is dropped off before this time, understand there is no supervision until then. Doors will open at 7:15 each day for students to enter to head to their lockers, grab breakfast, etc. 

Teachers will be located at both ends of the crosswalk at the car loop and bus loop to make sure they are passing safely.  

• Buses will be arriving on a staggered start. As students arrive they will need to go to the front of the school and wait in the first row of parking spots designated for each grade level. 
• Walkers and Bike/Scooter riders MUST stay on the sidewalks and then proceed to their grade level designated spaces. Bikes/Scooters need to be stored at one of the two racks (near 6th 6th-grade entrance and 8th 8th-grade entrance). 
  • ALL BIKES/SCOOTERS NEED TO BE WALKED AS SOON AS A STUDENT GETS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.
• If a student is being dropped off by car, enter from the west end entrance (closest to Casey’s) and travel in the counterclockwise direction by following the arrows on the ground. As your car approaches the building, a sign will be displayed to indicate where it is safe to allow students out of the vehicle. Students should be exiting cars on the sidewalk side only. Once the student is out of the car, they can head to their designated waiting area in the parking lot until the doors open. Cars can then proceed toward the exit, which is the same as the entrance. Due to heavy traffic, drivers are strongly encouraged to turn right when leaving.  A gate will block the entrance to the parking lot, with a staff member present to stop incoming traffic for student safety. Drivers with an approved pass will be allowed through the gate. Please drive carefully and watch for students and staff.

 

PICK-UP PROCEDURES

Teachers will be stationed at both ends of the crosswalk at the car loop and bus loop to ensure students are passing safely.  

• Buses will be parked along the bus loop. Students should walk to their assigned bus, board properly, and remain on the bus until departure. Staff members will be positioned at the crosswalks to help ensure students move safely between buses. 
• Walkers and bike/scooter riders MUST remain on the sidewalks and continue to the sidewalk along the road. Students may not cut through the parking lots at Fox River or Evergreen. Bikes and scooters must be walked until students reach the sidewalk off school property. 
• Families picking up students by car should enter through the west entrance (closest to Casey’s) and follow the arrows in a counterclockwise direction. Cars should line up closely behind one another to keep as many vehicles as possible off Main Street. Students will be released to the sidewalk and may enter vehicles only when the car has reached the designated pick-up area along the building. Cars should then proceed toward the exit (same location as the entrance) and are strongly encouraged to turn right due to heavy traffic. Parking in the lot to wait for students is not allowed unless you have an appointment or prior approval from the school office.
