6th/7th Grade Student Shadow Day
6th grade Evergreen, Trailside and Woodfield school students were provided the opportunity on
Friday, May 15th to shadow a current 7th grade Fox River student for the day.
All 6th grade students who shadowed attended periods 1-8 with their Middle School buddies,
as well as eat lunch in the cafeteria.
The 6th/7th grade shadow experience was an opportunity for upcoming 6th grade students
to understand what Middle School life at Fox River is like.
It was beneficial for students who may have had questions about Middle School,
and most students come away feeling more aware of what to expect once they get to Fox River.

May Reading Theme - Military or Veterans' Articles in Honor of Memorial Day
Students have the opportunity to participate in a reading incentive program each month.
Mrs. Markle will announce the theme of the articles and the students are responsible for finding three articles that relate to that theme. Students must read the article and write a reflection about the article. Reflections get turned in to the content teacher that relates to the theme of the article. Students will have a chance to earn an incentive for completing the reflections.
